TOLEDO, Ohio (May 15, 2016) — Officials from Sioux Chief Manufacturing, Menards, Track Enterprises, and the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) announced today that Sioux Chief has renewed its contract as title sponsor for the 2016 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards race event at Lucas Oil Raceway (LOR) in Brownsburg, Ind.

The “Sioux Chief Power PEX 200”, coming Friday, July 22, is once again part of a huge weekend of auto racing in the Indianapolis, Ind. area that includes USAC, ARCA and NASCAR.

Sioux Chief Manufacturing partnered with ARCA series sponsor Menards in 2015 to become involved with the series. The Business-to-Business relationship between Menards, the country’s third largest home improvement retail chain, and Sioux Chief, a leading rough plumbing manufacturer and supplier of cutting-edge products for plumbing and mechanical contractors, brings opportunities for Sioux Chief to promote its products to the Menards contractor customer base.

“We are excited to again be a part of the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards in 2016,” said Joe N. Ismert, President of Sioux Chief Manufacturing.

“Sioux Chief is a proud American manufacturer. We produce quality American-made products that save time and money for hard working plumbers who are avid supporters of stock car racing. The ARCA series is a great way to continue to reach out to race fans that use our products.

“ARCA introduces new drivers to racing fans and to be a part of that again this season will be a lot of fun.”

The on-track activities at Lucas Oil Raceway will include USAC Silver Crown Series open wheel racing action on Thursday, July 21, with the ARCA/CRA Super Series late models and ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards stock car double-header on Friday, July 22. NASCAR’s Xfinity and Sprint Cup Series round out the weekend of racing action at nearby Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

“We are pleased to once again be bringing ARCA back to Lucas Oil Raceway,” said Bob Sargent, whose Track Enterprises company will promote the event. “It should be great for both the fans and drivers, who love the Lucas Oil Raceway oval.”

The Sioux Chief Power PEX 200 marks the 12th ARCA appearance at the renowned short track since its debut there in 1971. Former ARCA winners at LOR include Ramo Stott, Bob Schacht, Davey Allison, Ty Dillon, Frank Kimmel, Brandon Jones and last year’s winner Travis Braden.

“The track has a history of producing great, exciting racing and the ARCA Racing Series event Friday July 22 under the lights will surely add to that tradition,” said ARCA President Ron Drager. “Everyone associated with our series really looks forward to returning to Lucas Oil Raceway.”

ARCA’s appearance in the Indianapolis area is also important for the series and its presenting sponsor, Menards. Indianapolis is the fifth-largest retail market for Menards, which has 297 stores in 14 Midwestern states.

“The combined effort by ARCA, the track, and Menards, to welcome Sioux Chief products as a vendor partner allows this to happen this summer,” said Mark Gundrum, Vice President of Business Development and Corporate Partnerships.
