This coming Saturday, May 2, fans, teams, and some of the best dirt track racers in the world will be flocking to Paducah International Raceway to compete in the Lucas Oil Late Model 50 lap showdown for the $10,000 top prize.  UMP Modifieds and Pro Late Model competitors will shoot for bragging rights and prize money, as well, in front of the big crowd.

Weather is expected to be picture perfect for the Lucas Oil Late Model 50, with complete sunshine and temperatures during the day in the upper 70’s.  The event will be the third in three nights for the national touring series, after competing at Macon IL Speedway on Friday and Tri-City IL Speedway on Saturday.  Fans may recognize the series from all of the coverage it gets on MavTV.  Now will be their chance to see the stars in person.

Don O’Neal set quick time last year with a 15.445, besting 31 other competitors.  Bloomington, IL driver Jason Feger took the victory, fending off challenges from Scott Bloomquist, Billy Moyer, and Jimmy Owens.  Owens won on Friday night at Macon.

Pit gates open Saturday at 2:00, grandstands at 3:00, hotlaps at 6:15, and racing action will begin at 7:30.  Grandstand admission is $25 for adults, while children 11 and under are $5.
