#16-Austin Hill won the inaugural Corn Belt 150 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Knoxville Raceway on Friday night, holding the lead over #18-Chandler Smith following the fourth and final overtime restart. The win is his first of the season and the seventh win of his career.
#98-Grant Enfinger and #38-Todd Gilliland were third and fourth.
Pole winner #19-Derek Kraus won the opening stages, had a few run-ins throughout the race, and finished fifth.
#88-Matt Crafton, #99-Ben Rhodes, #51-Brian Brown, #12-Tate Fogleman, and #30-Danny Bohn closed out the top-10.
#88-Crafton and #21-Zane Smith, who finished 14th, each clinched a spot in the playoffs with their finishes.
#4-John Hunter Nemechek finished 11th and clinched the regular season championship.
The debut race for the trucks on the famed Iowa dirt track saw a total of 14 caution flags spanning 80 yellow flag laps. The big incident of the night fell on lap 155 when 17 trucks were involved in a pileup, forcing a nearly 15-minute red flag period for track cleanup. Defending series champion, #2-Sheldon Creed, and sprint car staple #17-Donny Schatz, making his series debut, were among those involved.
There were 20 lead changes among seven drivers. Due to the aforementioned 14 cautions for 80 yellow flag laps, the average speed of the race was slowed to 36.802 mph.
