“We are excited to partner with the Herr’s Brand to bring the ARCA Menards Series to Lucas Oil Raceway, and the greater Indianapolis market,” said Jeff Abbott, Promotions Manager and Spokesperson for Menards. “Our racing program has a long history in Indianapolis, including wins at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with Paul Menard in 2011 and in the Indianapolis 500 earlier this year with Simon Pagenaud. Indy is an important market to Menards, and Lucas Oil Raceway is a great racetrack. We always look forward to being in the Indianapolis market and look forward to continuing our history with a great event at a great short track.”

Race promoter Track Enterprises spearheaded the ARCA Menards Series return to Lucas Oil Raceway for the first time since 1985 in 2011 with current Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series regular Ty Dillion winning in ARCA’s first visit to the 0.686-mile oval in 26 years. Ten-time ARCA national champion Frank Kimmel, a native of nearby Jeffersonville, Indiana, found victory lane in 2012, and current NASCAR XFINITY Series title contender and 2016 ARCA Menards Series champion Chase Briscoe, a native of Mitchell, Indiana, won in 2016. Last year, Christian Eckes earned his third win of the season over eventual series champion Sheldon Creed.

“We’re excited to bring ARCA back to Lucas Oil Raceway, and to showcase the series to the great race fans of Indiana,” said Bob Sargent, President of Track Enterprises. “Indianapolis is a great sports town and more importantly, a great racing town. Not only is it home to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, it’s home to one of the greatest short tracks in the country in Lucas Oil Raceway. It’s a great fit for the ARCA Menards Series cars and we look forward to another great race.”
