(Cordele, GA) SpeedFest presented by Racing America is full speed ahead this coming weekend at Watermelon Capital Speedway at Crisp Motorsports Park. Sunny but cool conditions are expected for 100+ race cars entered to compete.

The co-sanctioned Super Late Model (SLM) main event will run 150 laps, and will see some of the best SLM drivers compete for their chance to add their name to SpeedFest history. Some of the drivers making their way to the South Georgia asphalt will be SLM star Steven Nasse, 2021 Snowball Derby winner Chandler Smith, NASCAR Xfinity driver Josh Berry, and previous SpeedFest winner Bubba Pollard. These are just a few of the many great short track drivers making their way to SpeedFest to etch their names in motorsports history.

Along with the Super Late Models, SpeedFest will also see four other racing series duel it out around the 3/8 mile speedway. The 100 lap Pro Late Model feature, 75 lap Street Stock feature, 50 lap North/South Modified Shootout, and 25 lap Legends feature will bring 250 laps of non-stop edge of your seat racing for fans of all ages.

Festivities for SpeedFest will begin Friday, January 28th at 10:30AM with rotating practice for all divisions. This will go until 4:00PM when qualifying begins. Grandstands open at 10:00AM Saturday, January 29th for SpeedFest 2022. There will be an autograph session with all drivers from 11:30AM to 12:15PM. Racing kicks off at 1:00pm and will see all five classes clash it out around Watermelon Capital Speedway.
