(Nashville, TN) For the first time in series history, the Vores Compact Touring Series powered by Mercer County Electric will be racing on the 5/8-mile oval at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, TN. Nearly 40 drivers are currently entered for the Pest Doctor LLC Mini All American 40 which runs on Saturday, October 31 as part of the All American 400 weekend.
Over one week away from the event, 36 different drivers, representing nine different states are on the entry list with some of the biggest names in Pro Compact racing. Series champions, which are entered, include 2020 champion Terry Eaton, Jr., and former champions Gary Eaton, Jr., Bo Hoelscher, Chris Jennings, and Trent Gossar. Jacob Gustafson and Jake Albright, champions of the Midwest Compact Series are entered as well.
The series, which also runs as part of the Bristol Short Track Nationals, will have former winners of that event, Tom Gossar and Steve Vore, also in action.
Other notables include Ona WV Speedway champion Keith Watson as well as winner of this year’s Vores Cup, Kyle Stark. 2020 VCTS rookie of the year, TJ Fannin will be racing as well as Georgia’s Tony Newman and Florida’s Steve Sidner.
The Vores Compact Touring Series competitors will be racing for the highly sought after guitar trophy, which will be handed to the winner in victory lane.
The weekend of racing begins Friday, October 30 with practice for Super and Pro Late Models followed by a racing program for six divisions on the ¼-mile. Saturday action begins at 5:30 with AA 400 qualifying followed by a program of racing for CRA Street Stocks, Vores Compacts, and showdown races for Super and Pro Late Models. Sunday’s action takes the green flag at 1:00 with the 36th running of the All American 400.
