Topping the entry list is the hottest late model driver in the country so far in 2016, Georgia’s own Bubba Pollard. Pollard claimed the victory at SpeedFest 2016 at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Georgia, and then walked away with a $40,000 pay day by winning the Winter Showdown at Kern Country Raceway Park in Bakersfield, California on February 28th. Pollard, the 2014 Southern Super Series Champion, looks to keep that hot streak going by possibly winning two Guitar Trophies at Nashville.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Kyle Busch Motorsports teammates Cody Coughlin and William Byron are both entered. Coughlin was the 2013 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Champion while Byron was the 2015 NASCAR K & N Pro Series North Champion. Coughlin will be in his own equipment for Nashville while Byron will run a KBM late model.

Cole Anderson, winner of the Governor’s Cup 200 and the Red Eye 100 at New Smyrna Speedway, is entered. Multi-time Southern Super Series winner and past series Championship contender Donnie Wilson has entered, one of his series victories came at Nashville in April of 2014. Zane Smith, one of the top up and coming late model racers, is entered along with Wisconsin veteran competitor Dennis Prunty, winner of the 2015 Slinger Nationals.

2013 and 2014 ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion Travis Braden, who scored an ARCA Racing Series victory in his first ever series start last July at Lucas Oil Raceway, is entered. 2015 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Drivers Champion Dalton Armstrong is entered, as is 2015 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Rookie of the Year Quinnton Bear.

Tennessee is already well represented with Brentwood’s Mason Mingus, a former competitor in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, as well as Columbia’s Michael House, driving for ARCA Racing Series competitor Bo LeMastus. Other drivers already entered include Wes Griffith Jr., Cole Rouse, Thomas Woodin, and Matt Mills.

Teams are reminded that March 25th is the deadline to enter and receive the discounted advanced entry fee. The North/South Super Late Model Challenge 125 Presented by Team Construction will consist of a combined two hour practice and qualifying on Friday, April 8th, along with a 50 lap points feature for the ARCA/CRA Super Series and North Teams and a 50 lap points feature for the Southern Super Series and South Teams. The top 12 finishing teams in each 50 lap feature will automatically transfer to the final 75 lap Challenge that will take place on Saturday, April 9th. Each series will also have two point provisionals for the 75 lap Challenge. There will be a last chance race on Saturday that will add four more starters completing the 32 car field for the 75 lap Challenge that will be for no series points, but will pay $5000 to win.

Guitar Trophies will be awarded to both 50 lap feature winners and for the 75 lap Challenge winner. Friday’s feature events will be four tire races. Teams may put on two new tires for Saturday’s 75 lap Challenge. The ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards will have a 200 lap event on Saturday following the 75 lap Challenge.
