We have our first look at entry lists for SpeedFest 2022 at Crisp Motorsports Park, which is now less than two weeks away.

More than 20 Super Late Model teams have filed their entries for the event co-sanctioned by the ARCA/CRA Super Series and Southern Super Series, making its return after one year away due to COVID-19 regulations.

Before starting his 2022 season with Petty GMS Motorsports, Erik Jones will compete in SpeedFest. In his last SpeedFest appearance in 2017, Jones started on the pole and finished second to Harrison Burton.

A trio of former SpeedFest winners are on the current Super Late Model entry list, Bubba Pollard, Corey Heim and reigning Snowball Derby champion Chandler Smith. Other notables include Josh Berry, Carson Hocevar, Stephen Nasse, Jake Garcia, Cody Coughlin and Daniel Dye.

Currently, 25 Pro Late Model teams have entered for their 100-lap feature event during SpeedFest. Several of those competitors are conducting “double-duty” between the Super Late Models and Pro Late Models.

Drivers entered for both Late Model features include Cody Coughlin, William Sawalich, Stephen Nasse and Michael Hinde.

SpeedFest will be a first opportunity for many of the Pro Late Model racers of the Southeast to get on track before embarking on their battles for track championships at places such as Crisp, Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, Five Flags Speedway or Montgomery Motor Speedway.

Those drivers include two-time Show Me the Money Series champion Christopher Tullis, as well as Nashville champions Cole Williams and Dylan Fetcho.

It will also be a chance for teams across the country to head south to warmer climates for a chance to race in January. Whether it be Northeastern racers such as Derek Griffith and Giovanni Ruggiero or Midwestern competitors such as Joey Strode, Dave Killian and James Krueger, a wide range of locales will be represented.

The Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks will also take part in this year’s SpeedFest. Currently, 19 cars are entered for that event. There are also 24 entrants for the Modified feature, which is co-sanctioned by the Modifieds of Mayhem Tour and the Midwest Modifieds Tour
