A new Super Late Model event will be held in 2018 at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis. The race, named the Speed51 Super Select, will be held on Saturday, September 8 during Brickyard 400 Weekend.  It will be a winner-take-all invitational race and will pay the winner up to $10,000.

The Speed51 Super Select will be hosted by Track Enterprises and sanctioned by the Champion Racing Association (CRA).  The race is scheduled for a total of 75-laps, while the USAC Silver Crown Series will also be on hand for a 100-lap feature event.

Super Late Model winners will be eligible to qualify for the race, as long as they don’t have a conflicting race with the series they compete in regularly.

“We are excited about the possibilities that this race will bring,” said Track Enterprises Operations Manager Adam Mackey.  “Super Late Model winners across the nation will make this a star-studded field.”

Teams will receive one set of free tires and a free entry into the race.  There will also be a 50-lap open race for Super Late Model teams, for a final chance to qualify into the main event.

More details about the Speed51 Super Select are expected to be released in the future.
