The 2015 Summit Racing Equipment Modified National Tour is set to begin and race #2 of the season will take place at the Terre Haute Action Track in Indiana on Sunday, June 7.  Joining the UMP Modifieds will be Pro Late Models, in their first ever appearance at the track.

The Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals is a 29 event schedule that starts in early June and ends in late July.  The championship standings reflect the drivers best finishes of the year, opening up the competition to a significant number of drivers.  There are Summit contingency awards on a nightly basis, in addition to a sizable point fund.  The first event of the year is at Tri-State Speedway on Saturday, June 6, while the second event is at Terre Haute the following night.

Last year’s event at Terre Haute saw 23 drivers take the green in the 20-lap event.  NASCAR’s Justin Allgaier led convincingly before losing power.  Kenny Wallace took over at that point and raced under the checkered flag first.  Jacob Poel, Ken Schrader, A.J. Fike, and Tyler Nicely completed the top five in the 2014 race.

Joining the UMP Modifieds on June 7 will be the UMP Pro Late Models.  It will mark the first visit for the Pro Late Models in Terre Haute history.  Both the divisions will be garnering UMP points during the day’s festivities.

Pit gates open Sunday, June 7 at 4:00, grandstands at 5:00, hotlaps will start at 6:00, and racing will begin at 7:00.  Grandstand admission is $20, infield admission $10, and children 10 ten and under are free.
